Cardionics E-Scope II Electronic Amplified Stethoscope

IMPORTANT NOTE for Hearing Impaired Users:

Please be aware that using the E-Scope with your hearing device for auscultation of the heart, lungs or Korotkoff (blood pressure) sounds may be limited by the capability of your hearing device or the interface between your hearing device and the E-Scope Electronic Stethoscope.

Heart Sounds have a frequency range of 20-650Hz while breath sound range form 70 to 2000Hz.

Hearing devices are designed for enhancement of voice sounds that have a frequency range from approximately 500 to 4000 Hz. Some hearing devices can be programmed for lower frequencies.  However, even with this additional low frequency response, the hearing device may still not be able to reproduce the heart and lung sounds adequately for correct diagnosis.  Also, some individuals may have hearing loss in the range for heart and lung sounds that is not compensated by their hearing device.
For these reasons,  it is recommended that you consult with your audiologist for advice covering your hearing loss and the response of your hearing device. We will be pleased to assist you or your audiologist.

Product Description

The E-SCOPE II is a second generation, patented, CE certified, electronic stethoscope designed to amplify and maximize hearing of heart and lung sounds.

Core features are a slim-line design with the volume and filter controls on the head of the stethoscope. This makes it so easy and convenient to use, and when not in use the E-Scope can be comfortably draped around your neck.

A sound selector switch allows listening in the proper frequency response to heart or lung sounds.

The sound quality is exceptional with 64 gain positions available.

There are good reasons for using an electronic stethoscope over an acoustic manual stethoscope; you will be able to:
• send heart and lung sounds to a patient's electronic medical record
• hear soft heart and lung sounds in a noisy environment
• record, edit and play back heart and lung sounds
• send heart and lung sounds over telephone lines for remote diagnosis by a specialist
• email heart and lung sounds for diagnosis by a cardiologist
• compare a patient with yourself at differing time intervals
• filter the heart and lung sounds so that only certain portions of the sound complex can be heard
• teach students by having more that one simultaneous listener when assessing a single patient

Powered by a standard AAA-battery, the E-Scope is supplied with a Specialist™ Adult Diaphragm which can be changed as required to a Specialist Adult or Specialist Pediatric bell.

Supplied are plastic adult, infant and pediatric size bells and a selection of ear tips for maximum user comfort. The E-Scope's timer will turn off the instrument after approximately 1.5 to 2 minutes to conserve battery life. Its auxiliary output allows for connecting to a second listener or recording type device.

There are several models of the E-Scope II available:
