Cardionics E-Scope II Amplified Stethoscope for Medical Professionals
If you are a medical professional who frequently works in noisy environments or who is experiencing hearing loss and you need to continue using a stethoscope in your daily practice, then the Cardionics E-Scope II amplified stethoscope just may be the right stethoscope for you.
The Cardionics E-Scope II is a second generation electronic
amplified stethoscope designed to maximize audibility and hearing
of heart and lung sounds for correct diagnosis.
Core features are a slim-line design and a volume control and sound selector switch on the head of the stethoscope.
The sound selector switch makes it easy and convenient for switching between heart and lung sounds and listening to them in their correct frequency range.
And when not in use the E-Scope's timer will turn off the stethoscope after approximately 1.5 to 2 minutes to conserve battery life.
The Cardionics amplified stethoscope can be comfortably draped around your neck.
- Powered by standard AAA battery
- Exceptional sound quality
- Selector switch for heart/lung sounds
- Volume control with 64 gain positions available
- Auxiliary output for second listener or auxillary recording device
- Supplied with adult, infant and pediatric size bells
- Model depending, available with standard ear tips or a choice of headphone style
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR HEARING IMPAIRED USERS:
Heart Sounds have a frequency range of 20 - 650Hz and
lung sounds have a frequency range of 70-2000Hz.
Please be aware that when using the Cardionics E-Scope II with your hearing aid for auscultation of the heart, lungs or Korotkoff (blood pressure) sounds, their audibility may be limited by the capability of your hearing aid or the interface used between your hearing aid and the Cardionics E-Scope II electronic stethoscope.
Hearing aids are designed to enhance voice and speech sounds that have a frequency range from approximately 500 - 4000Hz. Some hearing aids can be programmed for the amplification of lower frequencies. However, even with the additional low frequency amplification, your hearing aid(s) may still not be able to reproduce audibility of heart and lung sounds accurate enough for their correct diagnosis. Also, some individuals may have hearing loss in the same frequency range as heart and lung sounds are, and which is not compensated for by their hearing aid(s).
For these reasons, it is recommended that you consult with your audiologist for advice covering your hearing loss and the response of your hearing aid. Contact us if you or your audiologist require assistance.
There are good reasons for using the Cardionics E-Scope II electronic stethoscope over an acoustic stethoscope. By using the Cardionics electronic sthethoscope you will be able to:
• send heart and lung sounds to a patient's electronic medical
• hear soft heart and lung sounds in a noisy environment
• record, edit and play back heart and lung sounds
• send heart and lung sounds over telephone lines for remote diagnosis by a specialist
• email heart and lung sounds for diagnosis by a cardiologist
• compare a patient with yourself at differing time intervals
• filter the heart and lung sounds so that only certain portions of the sound complex can be heard
• teach students by having more than one simultaneous listener when assessing a single patient
